About Lindisfarn
Lindisfarn is a first-generation family farm on 80 acres in Glen Robertson, Eastern Ontario. In 2026 we sold our home, moved to the country and raised our first batch of chickens on pasture, funded with about ten thousand dollars of our own money and friends who lease their land to us. The birds live outdoors and move to fresh grass every morning. They eat certified organic feed and are raised without antibiotics.
They are processed by a provincially licensed butcher and collected at the farm gate. We do not sell through retail. We sell to households, one season at a time. Our first harvest sold out. The farm is named for Lindisfarn inspired by the tidal island off the Northumberland coast, and its motto is Ora et Labora: pray and work.
Alongside the farm, Lindisfarn publishes a journal on farming, food and the policy questions facing new and small farmers in Ontario.
